'Movie Start' time keeps resetting itself - HELP!

Hello all ye Logic folks - long time no post for me (things have been great I suppose). However, I've got an issue that continues to rear its ugly head every time I score a project using Quicktime video, and I hope I'm just missing something.

I open a QT movie (as float) and incorporate it into a screenset. Every time I change to a different screenset and then change back to the one with the QT movie, the "Movie Start" field always resets itself to 0:00:24:00:00, and I have to click in that field (once) to get it back to all-zeros. THIS IS A PAIN IN THE !@#.

Is there some "Logic" behind this that I am missing? This has happened for years, and if I were scoring videos constantly I think I'd shoot somebody. How can I keep this from happening?

Thanks in advance,

Jim Daneker

Hi Jim,

You're the second person to post about this problem this week!

Unfortunately you can't keep this from happening. It's an artifact of the, um, fact that your SMPTE start time is in the zero-hour domain. There is no workaround for this, other than to open the song, click on the arrange page once or twice, then, click on the movie's start time field and see if it will revert to your 00:00:24:00.00 start time again. This is what I have to do.

BTW, this drives me insane too.
