iTunes 11.1.2 Painfully Slow

When I insert a CD to copy it to my iTunes it takes 1 minute and 40 seconds of spinning beach ball until the CD starts to be copied. This issue has just started since I updated to the latest version of iTunes a day or so ago. Is there anyone else experiencing this problem and more importantly is there a way to speed up this process?

The spinning ball of non response also continues for about 1 minute after iTunes does copy the CD and it has been ejected.

I first got your notice on 11/06 and wanted to thank you for the notice. It ahs fixed the problem and I echo the thanks to Apple for the attention to this problem.

Have now downloaded iTunes 11.1.3 as well and this has fixed the problem completely. iTunes is now back to its speedy self again.Thanks Apple!

I have downloaded 11.1.3 and my iTunes is still pathetically slow. Is there a way reinstall it?

11.1.3 is still the same for me. Any download larger than 10MB will stall before failing altogether with "err = - 3259" . Spinning beach ball all the time yes. Very frequently crashes completely. When it stalls like this, it appears to have practically locked up all the disk storage so anything else trying to disk access at the same time also hangs up. It's appalling.
