Preview broken with Mavericks?

Pretty simple issue here, I can't scroll in Preview after upgrading to Mavericks. When I try to scroll down using the track pad on my MBPro (15", 2012 model) I get to the top of page 2 and it just doesn't budge after that. It won't let me scroll up or down. If I just let it sit a while, I sometimes get some scrolling with major stuttering, but it freezes again after a short while. The behaviour leads me to think it's some sort of memory problem(?)

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

** Updated **

Seems to be affecting the 'Continuous Scroll' option the most, but it's also affecting the 'Single Page' and 'Two Pages' scrolling option also.

I too am disappointed with Preview navigation. A few years ago I switched to relying on Preview instead of Acrobat.

Now, the pan tool is gone. You can't really navigate large pdf images (like architectural drawings) without quality pan and zoom tools. Scroll bars are a second rate work around and what with the thin and minimalist scroll bars they are a pain in the rear to use beause a bit of digital (finger) imprecision and you've hit the window underneath and that is pretty boring.

I hope this isn't another Mac sacrifice for IOS. It is certainly not a first rate user interface experience.

Back to Acrobat I guess.

Happens on my Macbook Air 13 2013 as well. Annoying but the easiest work around to get scrolling working again is just quickly moving the cursor outside the preview window (if you're not full screen of course). Seems to be a problem where preview is trying to zoom and reload when I'm scrolling as it sometimes sends the PDF a slight bit out of focus.

I'm having the same problem but I have a temporary work around.

The problem occurs when you switch from continuous scrolling to single or double page viewing and then back again to continuous scrolling.

After that you trackpad doesn't work in Preview.

Change it back to View > Continuous Scrolling then quit and restart Preview. Scrolling should now work until you change to single or double page view again.

Until they fix this I think I'm stuck in Continuous Scrolling for the forseeable future.

Edit: I just submitted a Bug to Apple's Feedback page so fingers crossed.

Same problem here on multiple Mavericks Macs in my office. Not a trackpad/mouse issue. The scroll bars completely disappear unless you Resize the window to be small. Then they always will reappear. Expanding the window again makes them disappear. Very consistent. Started the day we installed Mavericks.

Scrolling ability with the mouse or trackpad disappears and reappears along with the scroll bars disappearing and appearing.

Consistency across files and computers indicates a coding problem rather than an intermittent conflict of some sort. We've tried all permutations of settings in Preferences and Preview.

Apple may have fixed this as the problem appears to be corrected with the update to Mavericks that was released today. I've been using preview all afternoon the same way I usually do and I haven't had the problem once. Changing my scroll settings (as is marked as the solution) never corrected the problem so I'm using the default settings.
