Mavericks -- Bluetooth Mouse Freezes

I downloaded and installed Mavericks last night. All day today I've been getting temporary freezes. They usually happen when I click from one app to another. They've been happening every few minutes, but it varies.

The freezes last for 10 seconds, every time. I can see background activity proceeds while my mouse refuses to move.

Well, I discovered that the problem goes away if I turn off my Bluetooth Magic Mouse and use a wired mouse. I checked another BT mouse and also the trackpad. They all cause these freezes.

I don't see the "Disconnected" or "Connected" graphics that happen when I turn the mouse on and off.

I have a Logitech BT keyboard; that doesn't seem to cause any problems.

Didn't have this problem until I installed Mavericks.

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9), Thunderbolt display. 16GB ram

Uninstalling the Logitech Control Center might be overkill. This issue went away for me when I got rid of any custom settings (see the greyed out dropdown menu titled "Global Settings" in the attached image).

Previous I had settings on a per-program basis. Deleting each of those seems to have solved the problem. And it did seem like the issue occurred when I initally switched over to the program that had a custom mouse setting.

Good luck everyone else. Hope that helps!

Hey guys!

The problem is with logitech's control center. I reinstalled mavericks thinking it was a bad install. Well at first I didnt install logitech control center because my keyboard and mouse were working fine. I have a dinovo edge for the mac. Some of the functions of the keyboard were not working ie the dimmer for the screen so i installed the software from logitech. BOOM! The problem of my screen freezing for 10 seconds came back. I quickly uninstalled the logitech software and things are back to normal. I do not recommend installing this software until logitech finds a fix for it. FYI the uninstall is under applications, utilities, and then lcc or something. Hope that helps!

LCC 3.9 which fixed the cursor freezing issue is now available.

You can download it from Logitech ftp site:
(It may take some time to refresh the web download page.)
