Thanks for the update but this link only supports specific platforms. Bootcamp assistant will choose the right one. If you want to download it manually use the links from the page below which provide the correct version for your platform. See the section "Boot Camp requirements by Mac model".

Apple does support Windows 8.1, as long as you install BootCamp drivers 5.1
