Mavericks Deleted My Notes

After updating to 10.9 all my notes are gone. 😟

I have no Time Machine installed, no iCloud backup or anything.

Is there anyway i can restore them in the system?

Thanks!

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

For some reason iCloud was acting up yesterday and kept asking me for my iCloud password and other keychain passwords. I ended up signing out of iCloud and then rebooted.

I signed back in and my other stock apps were okay except for Notes. My Notes app has the titles but no data. I checked iCloud via web and it's there. My iPhone and iPad have the notes too.

That was my question at MacRumours yesterday and this is the fix for anyone that has the same problem with the Notes app in Yosemite:

I upgraded to 10.9.5 from 10.9.3 via a full reinstall (wipe HD + "re-install" which upgraded to 10.9.5).

While doing this I had my Notes both from my PC and from my iPhone right there on my iPhone.

After installation and setup finished of Mavericks, the Notes were gone, both on my PC and on my iPhone.

I checked in Sys. Prefs. --> iCloud and saw that the Notes option was unchecked.

My Notes were synced with Google, but I tried this option as I never knew if the sync between iPhone and PC was through the iCloud or Google.

When attempting to check the checkbox, I am instructed to create "an iCloud email address to use Notes with iCloud".

This is neither expected behaviour nor desired.

As stated, my Notes were synced with my Google / Gmail account. Within Gmail I still have a "Notes" section that I can click on, but all the notes are gone from there as well.

I currently have Notes setup the way it was previously, not logged into iCloud, but synced with my Google / Gmail account, and, as previously, I am able to write a note on my phone that is immediately synced with the Notes app on my PC, and vice versa. So the current expected behaviour is accurate, but the dozens of old notes seem to be all gone.

Very, very disappointing.

All my contacts, calendar, etc. were all still successfully synced (thank the stars that didn't get wiped out as well), but the Notes seem to be all gone. Synced to -Nothing- rather than -Something-.

Inside /Users/<me>/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Notes I have only:

NotesV2.storedata NotesV2.storedata-shm NotesV2.storedata-wal
