Fantastic! That's what I like, a direct answer. I swear I looked in every "manual" & read the apple online "how-to" & don't recall any mention of this?
Thanks a bunch!
I guess since I didn't create the original question I can't award a "This solved my question"?
But IT DID.
Hello, I have the same problem I still couldnt fix it, can you help?
I clicked on show audiowaves but then there is no way to find "the handles".

Great to see that all the audio adjustments (plus more) from iMovie '11 have been included in the new iMovie
Really?
You mean like the custom equaliser setting being removed (now pre-sets only) and dropping in audio from a video clip being twice as difficult & seriously flaky to do?
This gives fade outs the wrong inflection. The sound should asymptote to zero, not careen into it. How do I switch the inflection on the fade out?
The fade button can be dragged as far as you want to prolong the fade out at the end.
However, if you want to manually fade out, use key frames as mentioned by one of the other posters above. Make sure that Show Wave Forms is checked in the settings dialogue box. Then, place your cursor on the horizontal volume line displayed in the audio clip, and click while holding down the Option key. That places a volume adjustment dot on the volume line. Make another dot right next to it. Keep placing dots as you move down the time line. Then you can adjust the dots to fade out the volume. You can do this anywhere along the volume line.
I guess I meant concavity, not inflection. But what I really want is for there to be an inflection point, switching from concave down to concave up that's draggable. Exists? Or manual version without leaving imovie?
Oh, I see, thanks.
