Dropping csv file into a cell?

After updating "Numbers", I can no longer call drop csv files into a cell and have the row complete. What am I missing here?

I had never made a service that required an AppleScript script to receive an input. I took my best guess and gave it a shot and it worked.

I am surprised the security won't let you open a workflow in Automator without expressly choosing "open anyway". I can understand it not letting you run the workflow but I'd have thought it would let you edit it. Better safe than sorry I suppose.

That's because being a nervous Nelly (or perhaps that's the default, I can't remember) my Security & Privacy preferences were set to allow apps downloaded from 'Mac App Store and identified developers.' If they had been set to 'Anywhere' I don't think there would have been a warning. No problem reading, and editing, after choosing 'Open Anyway.'

And we all owe a debt of gratitude to Nigel Garvey, who wrote and posted the CSV converter handler (subroutine) here on macscripter.net. If you want to explore the inner workings, his version there has abundant explanatory comments in the code.

I've fossicked through forums on the web from time to time trying to find solutions to perennial csv headaches. Initial hope has inevitably turned into eventual disappointment. But this one is good. I don't fully understand how it does its magic, but like the results.
