How do I change the apple id to update apps from Appstore on mac

Hi, can somebody please help me?

Last time, I was using my father's apple id for the appstore on my macbook pro. (Now, i have my own apple id.) Sometimes when there's apps that i want to update, a window would pop out to ask me to sign into my father's apple id, but i want to update the apps using my own apple id. Is there anything i could do to use my own apple id to update the apps? Please help me!

App Store-OTHER, OS X Mavericks (10.9), App Store on MacBook Pro

WELL HERE ARE THE STEPS

1>GO TO SYSTEM PREFERENCES(SP)

2>APP STORE IN SP > ALWAYS REQUIRE PASSWORD

3>THEN GO TO THE APP STORE TRY TO DOWNLOAD A FREE APP (EXAMPLE-SHAREIT)

4>WINDOW APPEARS WITH YOUR APPLE ID AND PASSWORD

5>ERASE THE APPLE ID AND ENTER YOUR NEW APPLE ID AND THEN ENTER THE PASSWORD (OF NEW APPLE ID) CLICK ON OK

6>THE WINDOW DISAPPEARS AND THEN APPEARS AGAIN

7>REPEAT STEP 5

8>CLICK ON CANCEL

9>GO TO SYSTEM PREFERENCES AND THEN TO APPSTORE IN SP

10>DONE

***I DID IT ON SIERRA ***
