Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

OSX 10.5.8- cannot change date and time. Have changed pram battery, still have spinning rainbow dot.

I have an older Powermac G5 dual PPC processor with OSX 5.8 (Leopard) on it. I cannot change the date and time, all I get is the spinning rainbow disc and the prefs have to be shut down. Does anyone know how to get this back on track? Thanks in advance!

Found it! There are 2 of them -- actually there are 18, but only 2 of them are dated currently. the others appear to be foreign language based - -


One is in the MacSys/Library/Preferences folder, the other is in the Macsys/Users/User/Library/Preferences--


Which one (or both) do I trash and reboot? I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, hope it's not a mirage -
