Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I have an older Powermac G5 dual PPC processor with OSX 5.8 (Leopard) on it. I cannot change the date and time, all I get is the spinning rainbow disc and the prefs have to be shut down. Does anyone know how to get this back on track? Thanks in advance!

Please try a new admin account, so we can see if it's user specific or System wide.
Cannot add a new admin account. There is no + sign after unlocking ... Cannot add anything.
Pretty sure I have the OS disk still... Can I boot with this then add one?

If not, I'd be tempted to reinstall the OS from the Install Disc, normally that'll still leave all your info intact.
If I reinstall the OS doesn't that start everything from scratch? I had the date right before I started with those hidden files, all went away after that.
Starting with 10.5 & up, reinstalling should leave all your personal files intact.
OSX 10.5.8- cannot change date and time. Have changed pram battery, still have spinning rainbow dot.
