iMovie 10.0 Video rendering error: -50?

No matter what I option I choose, I can't share my movie in iMovie 10.0. It always fails with a Video rendering error: -50. What am I doing wrong?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Late 2008), OS X Mavericks (10.9)

After reading through these posts I decided to just quit iMovie before trying any of the suggestions. When I re-opened iMovie and tried to share again (to file, and to YouTube) - it worked fine - no more error messages. Maybe I got lucky, but I didn't have to do anything else.

When doing this, if it doesn't work at first make sure to create the new movie in a separate event from where the old movie was placed! That's where I was having trouble.
