Apogee Duet (1) not working on Mavericks

I had been on Snow Leopard and Duet worked fine. Upgraded to Mavericks, now it does not.

I plug it in initially (after reboot) and sound comes through the Duet. If I touch any volume control, the sound cuts out. In Maestro, the controls are all very finnecky, can't select any options. If I unplug and replug, still no sound comes through. Assuming it's a problem with Maestro compatability, but I've heard that Mavericks isn't really playing nicely with other non-apple hardware either. Suggestions?

The only thing you and I are both using the same is the TB to FW adapter. Im gonna go out tomorrow and see about a USB 3 to FW adapter and see if there is any difference.

That and I dont believe a USB to FW connector exists anyways.

you can connect the duet to your iphone and update the firmaware like that.

Didnt help one bit! Logic Express stil glitchingyou tube still clicking and poping like crazy. My mac is close to worthless at the moment.

10.9.2 has not helped me.

I have a Duet Firewire. My iMac does not even recognize it as plugged in.

I'm using a Thunderbolt to FireWire adapter bought from the Apple store to connect.

iMac

27-inch, Late 2013

Processor 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

There is no Fusion drive.

The Duet works perfectly on my MacBook Pro

13-inch, Early 2011 on Mavericks 10.9.1

Did you guys download the newest firmware updates that addressed these issues? I know there was already a mavericks update, but they have an even newer one since then. Go to apogee.com/downloads, I ran into no problems since doing these updates.

So far this seems to be the fix for me as well.

My imac wasn't recognizing my duet iOS when I first got it few months ago either but it recognized it today after downloading the newest firmware and software updates along with 10.9.2, weird it's still not working for some of you.
