My MBP (mid-2012 model), which currently runs on Mountain Lion, has MS Office 2011 for Mac installed. Would upgrading the MBP to OS X Mavericks affect the installed MS Office?

But, my office 2011 (full version) refuses to activate on my MBP with IOS 10.9 Maverick. The product key refuses to work during activation. How do I activate it?
