Why is preview for photos running slow in Mavericks?

same here.. its suck! lol

how about a step-by-step discription with Pictures/video for reportin especially this bug to apple?

i didn'f fugure out witch of all the options i have to klick on, to get my report/complaint to apple.

well i can tell that with the next Update 10.9.2 all issues are gone!!!

I have checked the latest Pre Release Update and all is working well also with BIG RAW files...

Quick Look runs very fast now... it is even faster than in 10.8 :-)

So wait for the next Update that will be availible soon and all this Problems are gone.

I have Nikon and Canon Raw & Jpg files and did a test on my Macbook Pro Retina & iMac 2013.

When Apple are happy that it addresses all issues that they believe require addressing. Nobody knows but Apple, but should be in the near future.

What exactly buid of 10.9.2 solved problem? I Have (OS X 10.9.2 (13C62)) but slow preview is still here..

OS X 10.9.2 Update solved my problem. RAW-files in quicklook are now very fast! 🙂

MacBook Pro 15" with retina display, 2,3 Ghz, late 2013

I'm updating now to see for myself!!!! Hoping no more reboots to get fast picture access.

After the 10.9.2 Preview is still quite a bit slower than 10.8.5 though not as slow as 10.9.1. Perhaps I need to delete my preview preferences.

Yeah, I'm using the RAW files from my Canon 5d Mk2 and get the same error. It was fine before Mavericks. I see this problem's been going on from November 2013. :/

The 10.9.2 update fixed the Canon RAW file preview problem in Finder for me. Thanks Apple!
