Exchange in Mail.app

Hi,

After updating to Mavericks, impossible to send emails with attachments using my exchange account in Mail.app. No matter the attachment size

Anyone with the same issue that managed to solve it?

Thanks

Ugg the mavericks mail update did not fix this for me... 😟 I can verify like others on this thread if I can get to the internal server (corporate network) it works fine. If I have to go through the OWA server externally then messages are very delayed getting to me and some times just stop for awhile and no attachment over 200K can be sent.

I am having troubles with OSX 10.9 Mavericks Apple Mail and MS Exchange, too. I used the Migration Assistant to pull my user account from a Time Machine Backup of a Snow Leopard system (OSX 10.6.8).

My troubles are with email RETRIEVAL DELAY. I can send email with no troubles.

I have tried REBUILD of the mailbox.

I have tried deleting the Apple Mail Account that points to the Exchange Server.

I have tried closing Mail, then moving ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.pli st to the Desktop, and then re-opening Mail to rebuild the com.apple.mail.plist preferences file.

I have gone into the Preferences->General and changed from Automatic to Every 1 Minute ... email retrieval is like waiting for a log jam to break free. Retrieval delay varies anywhere from a couple of minutes to a couple of hours.

I can hit the "Get new messages" button all day long and nothing happens.

My iPhone 5 (iOS 7) is pointed to the exact same MS Exchange account and it picks up emails from the server way faster than Apple Mail on Mavericks. I had no problem with Apple Mail on Snow Leopard.

I noticed that Apple Mail was updated on Nov 8, 2013, but no mention of MS Exchange enhancements or known issues list.

I found a solution for fix the mail.app problem on my Mac. I have to switch off the Exchange autodiscover service (Preferences -> Accounts -> unmark the autodiscover service) and enter the correct (internal) server adress. Now, I can send mails with large attachments without any problems.

Hopefully, this workaround fixes my problem.

After waiting for more than a month, my solution is to install the commercial mail plug-in Lokiware: Attachment Tamer for Mac. Right now running the pre-release version for mavericks.

It is an understatement that I hate to use a commecrical software to fix the flaws in another commercial software, but I guess that is life nowadays.

It is strange why apple software engineers don't fix this problem. It is clearly fixable.

All problems are solved for me now, and got some bonus features like the removal of bogus “ATT0001” attachments.

It will be ironic if this post will be removed as unpermitted advertisiment of third party software.

Have the same Mail/Exchange attachment issues as everyone else here.

I've been using Attachment Tamer for a long time now, great plug-in. It does however not solve the problem for me.

First Gmail and now this... they really should take a better look at Mail.app before they launch an OS update.

I wonder if Mail in iOS has the same issues?
