Most of the application fail to launch

After installing Mavericks, most of the applications on my computer couldn't not be opened.
I have no problem on the first few hours but after that lots of application that I have on my computer can't be open (eg. iMessage, FaceTime, Maps, Preview, App Store...)
Anyone have a solution on this problem or have similar problem?

While I agree that a clean install has a high percentage chance of fixing all our issues... Im personally not willing to go threw all that s**t today. Dont get me wrong, Im backing up all my files and throwing stuff on external drives and everything this morning just in case there is no hope. But, we are talking gigs of bull s**t and hours of my life Ill never got back. Fingeres crossed for a work around today. It will have to be something outside the app store though since it wont open. Yeah, apple you got all of us sucking in the tit that is "app store" now it wont open! How do you get updates and patches to us now?

F*** it then. "Command + R" right? Ill hope back on here in an hour or so after a clean install and let you guys know my experience. Thank God Im a die hard believer in redundancies and back ups. Thanks apple! I had nothing better to do today like run my graphic design company or anything! I havent had to deal with stupid crap like this since I left Microsoft! What happened this round guys?

Luckily, there doesn't seem to be any dataloss. The Finder still works perfectly fine in my case. I do sincerely hope that Apple can come up with a workaround that doesn't require App Store or a clean install. I think I speak for everyone when I say that a clean install isn't ideal. It will take hours to put all files on an external drive and it will surely take up quite some time to re-install everything.

Hi guy's & Girls; have same issue as yourself, and have tried everything to sort out, was going to try reinstallation and noticed something because Mavericks updates system and bios settings and even though I have original discs guess what it won't accept them anymore and I mean WON"T, will not install an earlier version of the OS system, called apple support and even they are stumped was told worse case senario may will have to buy another system and use thsi as spares etc.

Why do apple launch sofeware that has not been tested in the real world on real systems that customers use on a daily basis and with diffrent applications relevent to them, this is defo more like a beta version or worse a test version they have released and defo as they claim a bug free version\update.... "if you couldn't laugh , you'd cry"...

Welp there doesn't seem to be any news regarding this issue. At least, not that I know of. We seem to be the odd ones out as this thread is just about the only thing on the internet right now that's discussing this issue. Tomorrow I'll take my MacBook to the nearest Apple store to let them check it out, but I honestly don't expect them to have a solution.

I am seriously considering a clean install, so I'm making a backup right now. I don't know how I'm supposed to get my hands on Mavericks, though. Every link on the internet redirects to the App Store, which doesn't work. Does anyone know a way to obtain Mavericks without having to go to the App Store?
