Most of the application fail to launch

After installing Mavericks, most of the applications on my computer couldn't not be opened.
I have no problem on the first few hours but after that lots of application that I have on my computer can't be open (eg. iMessage, FaceTime, Maps, Preview, App Store...)
Anyone have a solution on this problem or have similar problem?

I seem to have fixed the issue. I went to the Apple store yesterday and they recommended a re-install of the OS. You can do this by holding down option as soon as you boot up your Mac. This should open up the bootloader. There's a recovery partition next to the main startup disk. If you select this partition you'll see the option to re-install Mavericks. If you go through the installation process again, everything works like it should. At least, it did on my side.

Oh, and most importantly: it is not an actual clean re-install. Your files and programs will still be on your Mac.

Good luck!

That's not the same problem as we are having, I think. When a program is running, its icon should appear in the dock if it's not there already and there should be an indicator underneath -or next to- the icon to indicate that the program it represents is really running. This is not the case. When I tried to launch App Store, it icon briefly appeared in my dock before it disappeared. Nothing indicated that App Store was running, not even the activity monitor.

As of now, my problems have been fixed by re-installing Mavericks through the recovery partition. I hope that the problem doesn't show up again. I re-installed a couple of days ago already and the native apps started to malfunction in less that 24 hours. I re-installed again and the MacBook, including the native apps, worked fine until I decided to spill 7UP on the trackpad:( I'll check if my apps still work as soon as my MacBook is done drying up using the ancient "put it in a box with rice"-method.

After my first re-install through the recovery partition, my apps started mafunctioning within less than a day. I then re-installed it a second time and immediately installed the latest OS X updates while the App Store was still working. Funnily enough, the OS X updates apparently only applied to stuff involving camera's. Somehow, though, my MacBook and the native apps now have been going strong since Saturday. Not saying that this is a definite solution, but it has worked for me thus far.

The latest updates for Mavericks. The updates for some apps (iMovie, iPhoto and XCode) were installed on 24-10, so prior to my second re-install. The latest OS X version was installed on 27-10. Again, not sure if that update had anything to do with my native apps running fine now (the description only discussed enhancements in camera support), but it might be worth re-installing and getting that update while the App Store can still be accessed.

If my apps start acting up again, I'll share it here.
