No sound out after wake up in Mavericks

I have updated to Mavericks three days ago.

But I find that there is no sound output (headphone &speaker) after sleep, even though for 1 second's sleep.

Everytime I need to restart the computer to obtain the sound again.

Someone list the following suggested solution, but it actually does not work:

"

Close all windows and quit all applications.

Click "Go" menu in the Finder menubar.

Select Computer, then Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences

Open "Audio" folder.

Right click these two files and select "Move to Trash".

com.apple.audio.DevicesSettings.plist

com.apple.audio.SystemSettings.plist

Close the window. Restart the computer.

"

I really really hope someone can help me to solve this problems.

Many thanks!

OK...try this and let me know if it works: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/98285/RestartAudio.app.zip

Had to zip it up or it wouldn't work when downloaded. So unzip first (should be able to just double-click), and then move the file to your Applications folder. The first time you launch it, you may get a message that it's from an unidentified developer or something like that. In that case right-click on the application and choose open, then click on the Open button. Then type in your admin password.

Proggie's software works properly. I bought Macbook Air 13" (Updated to 10.9.2, 1,3Ghz i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD) on last week and this was second time the issue appears after whole night sleep. No sound after wake up. Just run Proggie's app and sound came back. I think it restarts the driver or something like that. Maybe Proggie could sort out what it does. 🙂

Thanks anyway.

Edit: Oh Proggie sorted out it already in earlier. It's a script.

I've created an apple-script app using the applescript code that was posted earlier, and it works very well. For those that are uncomfortable creating their own I can put it up in my dropbox if people are interested. I just put it in my doc and click it, enter the password and it fixes the issue.

You'll have to trust me that this is just the apple-script for this particular purpose and not a malicious program (since it does ask for admin password).

It's ******* absurd that apple still hasn't fixed this. Also, most of the time now my little applescript (thanks to Proggie!) doesn't work--I get some method about kext instances not being able to be unloaded. Mass genocide of audio-related processes doesn't do anything either. The only resort is to restart. Makes me want to throw this MBPr 15 across the room and use a netbook.
