I've bought this Mini Displayport - HDMI cabel today and I want to connect my MacBook Pro (mid 2010) to my Sony Bravia (KDL-32BX300) but there is nothing but a black screen on my tv. I've tried every HDMI input several times, but without any luck. My MacBook has no problem with finding my Sony Tv, and I can set the audio to go out via the tv. But still no adio or display on the tv. Any one know hoew to fix this?

Exactly what miniDisplayport-HDMI cable do you have? That's probably the problem.
I use the following and it works perfectly between my 2009 MBP and Bravia TV:
Apple miniDisplayPort-DVI Adapter
Also, on the Bravia TVs you are advised to use HDMI #4 input. I don't know why, that's just what Sony advises.

So there is no way it can work with this kind of cable?
From time to time people have problems with these kinds of cables. Perhaps there is a problem with the specific cable you have ... try exchanging it for another one.
The only alternative is to try a different cable or the Apple adapter + DVI-HDMI cable such as I suggested.
I went to the store today and asked why it didn't work. They tested the cable and another one, and we found out that it was the cable that was the issue. I got a new one, and it works perfectly now :-)
