redogg - you are a life save!! Thank you!
Awesome! I have the newest selfie they make that I bough today and following the instructions in 5 min I had the driver installed and printed a test print... had I not found this, I would have returned the printer... Canon owes you a comission!
You are a lifesaver...I didn't think I could follow your post at first, but I read through it slowly and followed the steps exactly and it worked!!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you...You are very much appreciated!!!
MESSAGE REMOVED
Hi redogg i downloaded your package and this is the message i receive when trying to open it "SELPHY CP series Printer driver_6.2.0.1.pkg" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
What can I do?
I wanted to follow your first steps, downloaded Xcode on app store, installed. There is no "Flat Package Editor (FPE) which is part of the X Code auxiliary developer tools." WHATSOEVER! I searched with "show package contents", searched in every folder, there just isn't. I have mavericks on my macbook pro mid 2009 13.3" and canon selphy cp800
I googled the FPE and the PackageMaker.dmg... NOTHING!
So i'm stucked with this, i saw others were able to do it.. can you help me please?? I'm not so good but i've succesfully done other code stuff before when following steps, this time i just don't have the app to do it!
It is so urgent for me as i really need to get my printer work for a paid work!
Would appreciate your wise skills on this..
help this poor regular human! thanks 😀
this will save time for a lot of people like me that downloaded and installed the xcode from app store and still couldn't find the packagemaker... people download the auxiliary tools from here:
https://developer.apple.com/downloads/index.action?name=packagemaker#
then you can follow redogg instructions easily and don't break your poor brains on finding the app
cheers!
It seems like Canon have listen now.....
Two thumbs up! This stuff is comparable to the lightbulb conspiracy!
Brilliant! I also applied the same patch to the 6.5 driver and it works!
This is the only one that worked. Thank you so much.
Fantastic, you are my hero!!
Thanks.
