Magic Mouse too Sensitive Under Mavericks

Sensitivity is an issue with all Apps under Mavericks. The slightest touch is detected as a swipe or scroll. I can't find any preference to adjust this. Any suggestions?

The sensitivity was fine under Mountain Lion.

I searched all over for answers on my magic mouse hypersensitive issues (hyper motion sensitivity in adobe programs, trouble double clicking and text selection, uncontrollable zooming in adobe programs, etc), but everybody here has the same problem. Changed all possible settings on preference settings, even went back to my wired mighty mouse, it's the same craziness with the sensitivity. I was about to reinstall Mountain Lion and that's when my IT friend suggested to replace it with another bluetooth mice. Did as much research on Logitech and Microsoft mice and found one non-touch Microsoft Sculpt Comfort mouse and voila all the sensitivities are perfect the minuted it connected. Settings were easy and simple to setup. Even the mighty mouse doesn't have this perfect setup. Why can't Apple make something like this? Just wish it wasn't black, oh well, my nightmare with the possessed magic mouse is over!

I found a solution: I found these very small (8 mm.) white plastic /rubber? round self adhesive little feet that you can use for products not to slip on or scratch a table top. I put three of these on the front of the mouse. I now lay my 2 fingertips on these tips, and voila, no more annoying scrolling, unless i move my finger onto the plastic of the mouse.

I tried something similar - I used climbing tape on the mouse top leaving just a small area exposed for gestures. This sort of worked, but you had to be careful not to touch the exposed area when in use. I understand Apple has done as much as it can with this product and are doing no more, so I doubt if you will see adjustments in Yosemite. My solution was to ditch the product and get another. If you decide to do the same beware of getting a mouse with a USB dongle. There is a problem with the USB3 ports on some MAC's and cross talk with a certain WiFi bands. This leads to the mouse getting lost or ceasing to function occasionally. I bought a hp Z5000 which is a bluetooth mouse and it works very well.
