Continuous scrolling not working in Calendar month view

Scrolling does not work in Calendar month view. I have toggled System Preferences >General > Show scroll bars to "Always on." Still nothing in Calendar month view.

BUT, wait! Now every other app (except Calendar month view) now has the scroll bar "Always on" even though I toggled back to "Automatically based on...", then restarted my computer. I don't want to see the scroll bars all the time but now I can't hide them anywhere. It seems "Always on" amd "Automatically based on..." now do the same thing. Serious bug.

Any hints? Thanks

Thanks. Basic concept worked for me. I've never had this problem, before Jun2017 with my '09 mini, and I've been flailing a while with all the online advice I've read. Magic Mouse scrolled fine in other iCal views and all other apps but refused in month view.

I put an instant sleep in the corner, and one sleep with wake by pushing the mouse and the scroll was back on as normal.

Yes... as insane as it sounds... (typical for apple recently....) replace your mouse batteries. Illogically, the mouse works fine with all other applications except Calendar when the batteries are low. Mouse was working fine in Safari, Pages, WORD, Photoshop....etc. But not in Calendar. replace the batteries and suddenly my scroll function worked again.

Putting my Macbook Pro to sleep for about 5 seconds worked. iCal Calender month view scrolls again.

I guess this is a low priority bug as it's been around for a while.

I'm using a magic mouse (batteries at 88% as I type), Mavericks (10.10.5).

Since the issue was related to an issue on an iMac desktop system, it's not something that can be resolved by "putting it to sleep". Simply replacing the batteries fixed the problem in the one program that didn't work.

Since it's impossible to correctly read your tone in your reply, suffice it to say, the bug is occurring on more than one type of machine and I'm just reporting what worked for me. Since I replaced my batteries just a few days ago, and switching my mouse on and off didn't work, the earlier reported suggestion to put your machine to sleep for a few seconds worked for me.

Obviously, one solution doesn't fit all.

Hi, had this scrolling problem for a few days now.

Did force quit on all open applications then a restart.

Calendar now scrolling OK.

I've tried all these things. Nothing has gotten my mouse scroll wheel work in Calendar. Tried many different mouses, wireless, wired etc.

I'm convinced that this is Apple's passive-aggressive way of trying to force people away from using peripheral devices.

What I have seen is that scrolling in calendar on month view works with Apple devices like the Magic Mouse and Trackpad but it doesn't work with devices that are not made by Apple like scroll wheels in Logitech or Razer mouses. Who's fault it is I don't know, but It is really a shame.

Thank you! This (unchecking/checking trackpad options in Sys Prefs) solved it for me. The "sideways scroll in different views" didn't help.

I've got this scrolling problem on Calendar in iCloud, but it works fine in Calendar on v 10.11.4 El Capitan. Very frustrating, are there any "fixes" out there please?

Looks like the problem is mouse support. Using the trackpad on my Macbook Pro, the 2 finger scroll works like a charm, but the rollerball on my Apple Mouse won't work at all.

switching from 'magic' mouse to the trackpad on the MBP and back again solved it for me
