Vodafone Mobile Broadband on Mavericks

I found another workaround. I simply plugged the 3G dongle straight into my ADSL D-Link router (it has one USB jack) set that up and now all the devices at home, no matter what OS they are using, work at the MUCH higher speed of Vodafon 3G. Beats the slow, unreliable Telkom ADSL by a factor of 5-10. Also much pricier than Telkom but fortunately its a business dongle.. :-)

I presume that you are using Mac computer and so far no firmware update has been issued. What I read from the link referred above, "the updater must be run in a Windows PC environment. An updater for the Mac environment is not yet available." So please contact Vodacom representative so that your problem can be resolved.

How do I check my K3675 firmware?

After installing the latest version of Vodafone Mobile Broadband and the MacBook Air, the stuff stays connected for few seconds (but in the meanwhile Safari says "No connection"), the disconnects and reconnects againg...

Did you notice any difference when using an administrator login (I usually don't access with the administrator priveleges)?

It is indeed working with MBP - Huawei E 220 - VMB 4.09.11.00

It really looks like a software problem with VMB and I would not worry too much about trying to upgrade the firmware of the modem if it was working previously.

Same problem using Vodafone Mobile Broadband Version 4.09.03.00 on my MacBook Pro.

I have the same problem but in version 4.09.17.00 (25015) with Huawei Vodafone K3765 with firmware 11.126.03.09.00 (last) in my MacBook Pro.

I did restart my MacBook Pro but it still closes seconds after it says you are now connected.

No success in my case, using K3765. I upgraded firmware version, but starting Vodafone Mobile Broadband I get the error "Vodafone Mobile Broadband quit unexpectedly". Any suggestion?
