OSX Mavericks Midi Quicklook No Longer Works

sadly this is another example of apple breaking what once worked.

yes the midi preview is gone ...

as is my album art in itunes and a myriad of fonts

that once worked no longer enhance my documents.

please apple ..... fix it

I have found that many of the quicklook file types have disappeared. MIDI is certainly one of them and it it a huge problem for me. It is possible to create quicklook extensions, I hope Apple fixes this or, somebody creates on quickly.

Yes! not only quicklook, I found I can't listen to MIDI files at all!! Need help!

You can open midi in Quicktime 7 (http://support.apple.com/downloads/#quicktime)

Just wanted to add: I had installed QT 7 from the Apple downloads previously because (1) I like it better than the current QT, (2) it does things that the current version doesn't, and (3) I had some old movie files that play in 7 perfectly well, but not in the newer-but-not-better QT Player. So I just tried a midi file and QT Player 7 launches almost instantly and plays the midi file just fine. Not quite as handy as Quick Look, but not bad.

Thanks BUT - that is not the point. I have 20 different things (including QT7) that can play/open midi files.

But when you are searching through folders of 100 of files using an app is really inefficient.

With quicklook, press the space bar it starts playing, click on another it is play... you can audition fast and easily.

I know, but there isn't a plugin yet 😟

If people are willing to spend some money - Audiofinder does lots of great stuff, and allows me to audition really quickly. Stills requires getting it started etc. - but it is the next best thing until quicklook returns (I hope)

Its also missing in safari as a plug in! Pay $60 for audiofinder-I think not! Its just a big unessary pain. I thought updating an OS was to make things easier! WHY WHY WHY!!! BRING IT BACK!

I expected an easier A/V experience including MIDI playback when I made the switch from Windows. So disappointed with Apple. 😟

So, I think, nobody from Apple Inc. doesn't read this discussions. I have more then 5 updates of Mavericks OS and find NO fixes of this realy big problem. It's all after Steve Jobs death.. I just want to my mac works how it works in the beginning of my using.
