How to get support?

My ipod nano refususes to work (computer doesn't recognize the ipod when I plug it in and there's also nothing displayed on the ipod screen)
I have tried all support manuals on the apple site (the 5R) and additionaly also changed my usb port settings so that windows can not turn the power off on them... anyway none of solutions work and I would like to have my ipod nano repaired.

But the support pages are very unclear, I can not find how I can request a repair for my iPod...
Do I have to call apple first? (and if so which number do I have to dial from Belgium)
Or can I just visit an apple service center?

You can either visit an Apple store, or fill out a service request.
