my facebook setting keeps saying "Error Signing In" "could not communicate with the server." How do I fix this?

Problem with this remedy is that at step 2, the delete button doesn't work. Pressing it does not reveal the email/phone number field again so step 3 is not possible.

I am not sure then CowChris. The delete allowed me to reenter my email and password. Maybe try reinstalling and trying again?

I've been having this same issue for a long while as well and I've felt like throwing my iPad out the window. But I guess it's my own fault for buying apple. Seeing as this problem started after a factory reset after my iPad CRASHED, I will not be restoring it again just to fix this problem. I will however be buying android.

Where is the enable button you talked about. I still get the error.

Try this:

From a browser: – facebook – settings – security: remove your Ipad from any entry in this section

On your Ipad: settings – general – reset – reset location and Privacy

I don't see my ipad in the first recommendation. There really isn't a reset but a turn on turn off and this didn't work. Sorry.
