my facebook setting keeps saying "Error Signing In" "could not communicate with the server." How do I fix this?

How to disable the button...cos when i i go to setting/privacy/facebook.....theres no option to disable the button...

I cant log in to my app because the message comes instantly, and even I press "cancel" it doesnt go away. Only option responding is "settings" which send me to my ipad settings but doesnt recognize my password.
I dont know what else to try!😟

then to privacy

then tap Facebook

Make certain app sharing button is disabled. This resolved my issue with same message.

This is frustrating. I tried all of the above and nothing is working. I get "Error Signing In" "Could not communicate with the server" on both my iPhone 4S and iPad 4.

We tried this with our iPad mini...no button to disable, did not work. SO aggravating!

Go to Settings

Tap on Privacy

Tap on Facebook

Tap on Disable...blue will turn to white (it's an app sharing button)

Then it should work. Alot of people are having this issue with the mini.

the probem is that there are no options to disable.

setting>privacy>facebook = empty page. nothing is ther to be disabled.

from my understanding some people have that option and some don't.

I'm guessing some people are on iOS 6 and some on 7? I am on 7 and have same issue as described by Pierce.nicholas.

In my case, brand new iPad. Not changed my Facebook log in details, guessing I mistyped my username when I logged in for the first time.

The most infuriating part of this bug is that the 'delete account' button does nothing... If that worked it would be a simple case of deleting it and adding it again.

Apple, sort it out please!!! Can't imagine this is a difficult bug to solve. Not being able to use the Facebook integration is a pretty major flaw.

What solved it for me:

On connected device

Facebook app > settings > security > active sessions :

delete other sessions

and back in security disable "secure browsing", until you log onto Facebook on another device.

That should resolve this issue

THERE IS NO BUTTON THERE.

1) i logged out of facebook BOTH on my iphone and on my computer

2) iphone settings --> facebook --> delete account

3) iphone settings --> facebook --> enter email (not phone number) and password

4) I no longer get the error message "cannot communicate with the server" in the iphone settings --> facebook screen

5) logged back into the facebook app
