Hi,
Another idea is to go to the Applications - Utilities folder, and start "Audio MIDI Setup".
The point is that there is an issue to recognize the sampling frequency of the device, in the Audio setup your Edirol must appear as UA-25 44.1kHz (if set up on this frequency). This mentions that the sampling frequency looks like "recognized"...

If the device appears as UA-25 without sampling frequency, this does not work (in my case in Cubase element).
In this case, what I did, and it seemed to work, I went to the midi setup, deleted the device UA-25, which was greyed out (as if not recognized), disconnected the UA 25 and reconnected, and this happened to work again.
After reconnecting, the UA 25 does not appear as greyed out anymore, and in the audio settings, it appears with the name UA-25 44.1kHZ (he has recognized the sampling frequency).

In the driver installation folder, there is a similar description in the README file, which helped me to find a way to make it work.
No guarantee that it will work for everyone, hope this help !!!
