Same here,
Tried everything proposed on the blogs but NOTHING worked.
Seems that after the 7.0.2 & 3 update, many 4S owners encountered this issue, which to me is Apple's responsibility.
Apple, we need to be able to rely on these premium priced products!!!!
Come up with a solution....NOW
Anyone with any solutions?? Will iOS 7.0.4 or 7.1 be able to solve the issue?
Same thing here sorry no solution. Thing is i got my replacement under warranty a week ago and it happened again! Seriously considering a HTC or Samsung.
not sure if any of you guys have an idea what to do next. The phone cost me some 550 dollars and it looks like an idiot phone not smart. May be we need to get in touch with corporate and see what they say. My phone is still in its first year warranty. We need to act quickly may be we can get the 5 S free of charge as a replacement. What do you think?
Sounds good I just have no idea how to instigate and turn a minority into a majority.
I think you would be far better off asking for a free iPhone 4s as a replacement. If it were me I would call Applecare, ask to be transferred to Customer Service and work my way up. And get the names of each person you talk with.
I wrote to the Apple Store where i bought it from but they did not reply or acknowledge. Not sure how to escalate the issue
I got iPhone 4S (unlocked) from US in December 2011, costed me around $650 + taxes ~ $700.
Before that, I was using blackberry Bold 2 and Nokia N79 and I still have those 2 phones and both of these phones are still working perfectly. Also have 1st gen iPad, and never faced any issue. I'd be more than happy if apple solves this problem. I mean seriously its just 2 years life for iPhones? Is that what Tim and his team expect from their products these days? 😠
History repeats itself (Apple without Steve Jobs)
iOS 7.0.4 is out, has someone updated? Any improvements? Did it solve wi-fi issue?
Thanks for sharing this information. Is there a procedure for updating? what does Apple say about this? Cheers.
just updated no change
Updated to iOS 7.0.4, still no solution, Problems are adding up everyday, Messaging app, Phone app, Settings App take around 10 secs to load, calls dropping frequently and incoming calls drop after 1st ring...
Only one thing to say: FFFUUUKKKK YOU APPLE, FFFUUKKKK YOU 😠
Is anyone able to see Wi-Fi address in Settings>General>About??
I wasn't able to see that in iOS 7.0.3, but now it's visible with iOS 7.0.4
I upgraded from a down level IOS to fix the problem. (Wifi Being disabled). So I think it started earlier
Any others out there who got the same info, i.e. the new iOS version somehow stressing the WiFi chip/antenna to the point of failure? If this is indeed the case, I'd think that Apple should replace all affected devices, even the ones no longer under warranty.
