I updated my iphone 4s on 17/12/2013...then got this problem also. I have tried all the fixes suggested to no effect! This is very frustrating, my ipad updated fine but the iphone is wrecked. The bluetooth is also not working!

Please hurry up with a fix Apple as we are all getting very frustrated and disgrubtled with apple products by the sounds of it!

Solved this by following advice from another forum:

1. Turn aeroplane mode on

2. Restart your iphone (hold down lock and menu button)

3. When iphone restarts turn aeroplane mode off again

Wifi should now be available,

Hope this helps, I was having this problem on my 4s, sometimes before upgrading to iOS7, and more consistently since.

I've gotta say I'm quite dissappointed that apple haven't included this 'hack' on their own support website, surely it's better to admit a hack is needed and not annoy customers than to ignore a problem that a lot of people are having.

That little hack has been working for me although it took a lot of trial and error to get to that. It is ****** frustrating that Apple do not acknowledge that there is a software issue here. Fingers crossed that they listen to their customers and repair this.

To clarify:

1. Turn On Airplane Mode

2. Reset the phone by holding the home button and the power button

3. Turn on your phone

4. Turn off Airplane Mode

5. Turn on wifi

This will work but I have noticed that the wifi connection is quite unstable. Works all the same.

Apple: if you are watching our posts, are you proud to release software with a fault like this?

I just had my phone replace becuase the back fell off of my phone and the it fried, after having replacing it for a cracked screen which completely disabled the touch screen, and on top of that my replacement now has the same issue with the update disabling the wifi feature of the phone making it impossible for me to back my phone up because i was not able to back it up after my screen cracked, or after my phone back fell off by itself and the phone got fried. Way to go Apple, F***king dumb***es!!!

Apple is a bunch of f**cking idiots running around the office with their thumbs up their a$$es.

Apple nerd #1: "Lets make an update that disables all of the reasons why they might have purchased our phone in the first place."

Apple nerd #2: "Thats a brilliant idea and lets hide it behind an update which is suppposed to make your experience better."
