Pictures in camera roll go white when clicked on?

Whenever I take a picture with my phone and go into the camera roll to view it, when I click on the picture it just appears as a white box. The picture shows when you are scrolling through the camera roll but as soon as it is clicked on it goes blank. Please help. I have tried holding down the home button and the lock button but that did nothing. No one else that I know has ever had this problem.

I posted long ago about the problem. Apple has done nothing yet...

I also have continuous service drop from iCloud PC app and pictures do not download correctly.

White pictures are only white in iPhone. They are there. And if you use DropBox camera upload you do have access to them. This service has not failed me yet. Easy way to have access to your photos, regardless of iOS glitches...

Apple, you better wake up! some things are not coming out right and people start to wonder why this change for the worse.....

I have a friend with the exact same issue. Searched apple forum discussions and a member named Steve (sorry don't remember full username but trying to give credit) posted a link to rebuild the photo database and others reported success. I have a different phone so I can't test myself but will report back the results of my friend.

Hello, I discovered this bug recently and for me it occurs with the pictures made when the iPhone was locked (the swipe up camera tool while the iphone is locked). And more, if I take some picture in this mode, and I delete one, then all the pictures made during that sequence becomes white when I look at them later. It must be something like the references of the pictures are mixed up and then the iPhone can't find the picture properly.

I haven't tried the fix proposed by JoelsBlack yet, but I found that modifying or editing the white pictures (ex: modify > rotate 90° > save > re-rotate > save) did the trick (but now I got all that pictures in double in iPhoto).

Exact same issue. iOS 7.0.4 and 4s. Weird thing is that I did the software update ages ago and the problem just started today with no apparent trigger. Photos are one of the main reasons I use this phone so this is a serious problem for me. They will show up again if I try to edit the white screen but that's just ridiculous. Can't find any other solutions to this issue. FIX this Apple. I'm ready to get a new phone.

I just discovered that this white screen was ONLY happening when I was taking pictures with the phone's photo effects feature on. I always thought one could only edit photos after taking the shot, but discovered you can turn on the photo effects pre-shot. (I'm talking about the "effects" editing features that are part of the iOS, not an external app). As long as that filter is not on when I'm taking pictures, I'm not having the problem. Hope that helps some of you.

I also have photo stream issues. Quite often my iPad and iPhone are at home and connected to the same wireless and still the photos don't make it into the photo stream. This is a minor irrititant to me so I haven't tried to hard to fix it.

I posted before since I was having the same issue of white photos. My Phone's memory (4S) was not completely full... however I had a lot of pictures and specially a few videos...

I simply have moved away those, to an external HD, and released some space in the phone.

It now works OK again... no more white pictures.

Maybe it fixed itself, maybe that actually helped. Just for your info....
