Connection on Airplay keeps dropping, suspect caused by IOS 7

I had no problem playing movies from either iPad 2 or iPhone 4s before the IOS upgrade.
But recently the connection seems dropping evey few minutes when playing movies from on device.😢

Anyone has any problem lately?

I have the same exact problem as you. My iphone connects and plays through airplay on my denon AVR 3000 just fine until i shuffle. When in shuffle it plays a few songs and disconnects. Always between songs. I need to do a hard reboot to reconnect. This started with the 8.02 update. Until then every thing was fine. My Macbook pro works fine with airplay as well as other airplay connections so I know it is not the Denon or the router. When this first started after the 8.02 update I contacted Apple and after significant trouble shooting they replaced the iphone but the problem still persists. This is very frustrating because I like to shuffle my music. Apple must know there is bug but has not done anything about it. Very

disappointing.

This is the best answer I have found to this issue. I read a suggestion before I saw this to open some ports but I still had the problem. The 5 more port numbers this posts fixed my issue along with assigning 2.4ghz and setting channel to use instead of auto. Streaming from iOS perfectly! Made a call while streaming and music paused and came back by itself I have also been able to skip songs and it continue through that song. No dropping at all. Good find!

- Manually open the following ports in the router (port forwarding): 3689,5353,1900,5351,5350,7000,5000,123,53
(I used both UDP and TCP “just in case”). For detailed info: https://support.apple.com/hr-hr/HT201733.

- Manually assign one fixed wifi radio channel : prevent the router from automatically
switch channel.

- Force ATV to connect in 2.4Ghz band.

- Restart iOS device and router

You are quite the arrogant guy! You must be an Apple Genius.....I get a lot of dropouts and lost connections. It happens on the following for me:-

1) Ipad Mini 2

2) Iphone 6s

3) Ipad Air 2

and on all 5 Apple Tvs (3 here in Switz and 2 in Spain)

and on my brand new Swisscom router in Switzerland

and on my brand new Huawei router in Spain

Now what you got Bighead? Let me guess, you are 30, right?

So I don't know if everyone is still checking this thread. Honestly I just created a username just to help everyone out. So I've had problems with apple tv disconnecting and then I tried airplay from the Iphone and it disconnects every so often. So I'm currently testing a theory and its looking pretty good right now. I have a netgear wifi router connected to comcast right now. On my netgear router i gave apple tv the highest queue for QOS so it can monopolize the connection when being used. I also moved my firewall security down to the minimum on Comcast's wireless router. I honestly believe that was really the cause of the disconnects. I've been testing an 11 minute video off of youtube, airplayed to apple tv, and every since i adjusted the firewall setting to Minimum on Comcast it hasn't had a problem yet.

I had the same problems when I am using third-party products, like Synology DS Audio or Swinsian. But everythings works fine when I am using Airplay with iTunes on my Mac or Airplay on any iOS device. Maybe Apple has changed something in the Airplay protocol. (tested with ATV4 latest update, iOS 10, macOS Sierra)
