Keynote 6.0 mixed up all the images in presentation

The presentation was closed 5 minutes ago and was all ok. Now after opening the file all the images that were pasted from illustrator and other sources are mixed. I'm forced to relink all images manually wich is quite a pain.

Is there a way to fix things?

Very disappointed...

I think there is no discussion they are not really taking care. I never had such a problem with an apple product....

I switched back my presentations to keynote 5.3...there is an option to do so on keynote 6.0.1 and then work with 5.3 FORGET ABOUT 6.0 For a while. On the old times we always said that was safer to just wait for probed releases...X.1, X.2...never X.0.....Why apple did create such a problem for us , by pushing people to go for 6.0 ?

How is iit possible that they still have the 6.0.1 software on the apple store ready to sale !, and as a marvellous product !

I am very worried about how apple will go.....

We´re lossing the delicious organic farmer´s apple that I was enjoying since 1988....

I hope they will remedy and apoagize soon.

AT least don´t keep it saling it !!!!

Hi,

I'm using Keynote 6 today the first time and I was really shocked, all my presentations build in the last years ore broken through this problem 😢😠😟

After trying one hour to repair just one file for a meeting next week, I give up, it takes days to fix just one (minimum 50 slides) presentation. Once again, I was really shocked, I can't believe that Apple is doing soming so stupid and removes one of the main features of Keynote.

I was so glad when I found that the old version of Keynote is still installed

Keynote 6 is a desaster! I will and must stay at Keynote 5.x !

I hope Apple will also read these postings.

I opened a career-critical presentation to the CEO of Kohler today to find all the images pasted from Illustrator had been jumbled. It was a total disaster.

I have been a staunch advocate of Keynote over PowerPoint for quite some time. It has propelled my success at a prominent Washington, D.C.-based organization.

This issue is devestating. I hope it's resolved yesterday.

Just delete the new IWork versions and use iWork 09. I have been in contact with the IWork team at Apple numerous times about this issue, provided numerous example files, but so far I can only guess that they are "working on it".

Beware, Pages suffers from the same problem! Demonstrably and reproducibly.

How has Apple not fixed this yet?! I just had the problem again, despite taking steps to avoid it.

As far as I can see, the problem lies in Keynote not updating the hidden "data" folder where it's storing all these images. Or file names are redundant.

My latest problem was:

Created a Keynote template doc - stored on Dropbox

Opened that file, saved as a NEW document on my desktop

Was fine, finished presentation and saved back up to Dropbox to share with colleagues

My working version was fine, until I closed it and opened it back up

BAM! images all jumbled in the entire document, useless and we have a huge meeting coming up and now I have to work the rest of the weekend to fix this

Even saving the image BACK to my desktop does not fix

And to make matters EVEN worse, I opened that original template doc this was based on - and now THAT is messed up too!

Completely infuriating and unacceptable. We're switching back to Powerpoint because we have zero faith in Keynote 6 and it's costing us lost time and productivity and is a threat to our business.

Does anyone know if we can delete Keynote 6 and go back to 5?

Yes you can do that.

I did two things, I went back to my Keynote 5..3 and work normally on the "old "presentations that have not been modified . I also make sure to go to the Information about that special document under the finder, and on the open with check box, choose open with keynote 5.3.

In a presentation that has been modified on the menu of kenote 6.0.1 you can export into a previous version of keynote (5.3), I did that and my 6.0.1 presentation is now safe under 5.3.

I keep the keynote 6.0.1 so if i need to do that in any other presentation.

Hopefully I don´t have any problems of mavericks and keynote 5.3
