MBA mid-2013 wakes from sleep every minute on Mavericks

After upgrading to Mavericks my MBA mid-2013 constantly wakes up from sleep every minute during the night draining battery to 0%.I did syslog | grep -i "Wake reason" and the result is "?" for each logged wake event. There are few more reports on this all over the Internet with slight variations. This happens

while on battery and I did try SMC reset. Any tips? It's gettig quite frustrating. User uploaded file

I'm suffering from the same thing - MBA 2013, wakes every 1 minute and drains the battery overnight. Very odd. Mountain Lion didn't do this! 😟

pmset -g log

Also produced a repeated set of info, every ~1 minute, the following is repeated. Anyone any thoughts? I've reset PRAM and SMC...

I do not have Avast installed and still have the issue. I use ClamXav for anti-virus. I had the issue even after a clean install (MBA 2013).

Apple need to fix this. It never happened on previous OS X releases, only with Mavericks. It is an OS bug.

What puzzles me is that once in a while the systems deep sleeps, even with all SW running as usual.

I don't believe this issue is linked to any 3rd party software. I have the "self-waking" issue and I don't use Google Drive or Dropbox; my AV is Norton.

Applying the prior mentioned "band-aid" of:

sudo pmset -n standbydelay 604800

has avoided the self-waking issue for on my 2013 Air (i7/128GB). There is slight penalty for battery but it is rather small (~5% drop per 24 hours).

I have the same problem as well on my MBAir mid -13. But this issue started only a few weeks ago, and I've owned my mac since early summer, so I'm thinking that it might be a third-party software-issue after all?

I'm trying to think which of the apps that I've installed that could have caused it, and Avast is one of the later additions. Also, NoSleep. I've uninstalled both just now. I had no issues with Dropbox.

Could someone tell me exactly how I go about this "sudo pmset -b standbydelay 600" procedure? If it's necessary to do that command? I'm not very good at using the terminal (I know how to open it, that's about it). Thanks!

MarkNew, as jasonlancaster instructed you should try to uninstall avast antivirus. This seems to solve the problem for most users. If it doesnt work for you there are two more things to try, first one is deleting SystemConfiguration folder and the other one is preventing your computer from hibernating. You can execute both solutions from a program called Terminal (Applications/Utilities/Terminal). Just start the Terminal and type in this commands in the window:

sudo rm -r -f /Library/Prefrences/SystemConfiguration

this will ask you for your password ... try rebooting your mac and if your sleep problems are still not solved try running next command in Terminal:

sudo pmset -g 604800

this will also ask you for your password but you dont need to reboot your mac.

I hope Apple will soon solve this problem.
