Bluetooth keyboard locks up iOS 7.0.3

Since updating to iOS 7.0.3, my iPad (3rd generation) becomes essentially bricked when re-initializing a bluetooth connection to a Targus Versavu bluetooth keyboard/case. It worked fine since i bought the iPad until this new update. I have to un-brick the iPad roughly 3 times a day (power button/homebutton procedure).

Is this a known issue?

iPad 4 with Belkin Ultimate keyboard! and it freezes a couple times a day. Have to reboot as soon as it does. Fortunately the iPad 4 reboots fairly fast, but Apple really need to pat some attention to this. Another issue with BT keyboard is that it causes the wifi streaming connection to drop between Netflix and Google Chromecast. The only way to keep the connection up is to not use the keyboard. Really, Apple?

In the possibly futile hope that these reports work their way up the ladder, I've noticed that my Zagg bluetooth keyboard on an iPad 2, has recently started to freeze in certain repeatable instances. For example, right now I'm using it to type this message, no problem. I'm in Safari.

If I try to open up my list of favorites, and edit them to add a bookmark or new folder to my bookmarks, if I try to type in the box provided by Safari to name or rename a file or folder, everything freezes, every time.

Side note: I thought technology, as it improved, was supposed to save us from the drip-drip-drip torture of nothing ever working reliably for any appreciable stretch of time. Every single new OS update seems to screw up something that I had finally decided to incorporate into my own way of doing things. And it seems to be getting worse, not better. I'm sure that the complexities are overwhelming, even for the best and brightest designers and coders out there. But for the love of God, can you not create a system that, if something is working for a customer just the way they like it, that it doesn't get accidentally and arbitrarily broken by so-called upgrades. It is an "operating system." If it's so-called "features" break what was operating, then it's not an OPERATING system.

Thank you for letting me get that off my chest.

The problem I had with the Zagg was that it would repeat keystrokes whenever it liked. My new Belkin doesn't do that, but it does freeze the IPad once in awhile as it turns on. It also causes the Netflix app to lose its connection to the Chromecast in wifi. Even with the keyboard off, the iPad still loses touch with the Chromecast, forcing me to turn off wifi and turn it on again. This probably forces the iPad to rediscover the Chromecast.

The iPad looks sort of like a computer, especially with a bluetooth keyboard, but no one would tolerate unreliability like this in a serious notebook computer.. Is the idea to force us to buy Macs to get anything done?

I can add: I've got an iPad 3rd generation, 64GB, AT&T LTE. It's running iOS 7.0.4, (11B554a) which is the latest version available to me as of today. I've got a Microsoft Wedge Bluetooth keyboard, and it locks up constantly. Usually when the keyboard goes into power save mode, then re-connects. It's not even noon yet, and it's locked up three times today. Makes taking notes difficult... >:-[
