New Pages - Character Count - Where is it?
I can only find word count - but I need character count - where is it?
Pages-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.7), Operating with Lion

Click the right end of the floating bubble that contains the word count. Charatcer count and paragrpah count are there. There is, however, no pagecount, which was a useful feature. I liked it better when there was a status bar in the OS X version.

So glad - you've solved it - Thank you so much. I find it weird that there is no page count? That's hugely remiss of them.
OK,, click View (top-left conrner) and you can find the word count
I think there is page count ?!
You can insert a page count. But what one wants is simply to be able to glance at the bottom of the screen and see something like "Page5 of 37" so you know where you are and how many pages there are in total.
The new approach of hiding all the info is very, very strange.
Thank you! That wasn't nearly as intuitive as it ought have been.
Is there a setting to get it include "spaces" into the total as well? (Eg. Where the total characters for "some text" equals 9 instead of 8 because the space is included.)
