Contacts have disappeared from Iphone5s and the cloud. How do I get them back?

The contacts are definitely disappearing. Every month I find there are people who text me where their name no longer appears, or I want to call someone that I know I added to my phone manually and have the old texts on my phone when I search through texts. But if I try to find them in my contacts they have vanished. I was wondering if it could be an outlook sync issue.

From within Contacts, click on Groups at the top left and make sure All Contacts has a check mark next to it.

The contacts are either in your email and you need to add it again or they got lost in iCloud and you need to turn off contacts> keep contacts on iphone> then turn them back on. This has worked for me several times.

go to icloud.com on a computer. if contacts are her. do this on device go to settings - icloud- at bottom delete account and then sign back in. if contacts are not at icloud.com then look towards email contacts.

is anyone else sharing your iCloud acct? If they are deleting your contacts that's why you're not seeing them either.

Perhaps you have a spouse that is using same acct?

Could some contacts be in your email accounts? To find out, go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and go into each account. Make sure that the Contacts switch is set to On (so that you can see the green side).

If you're only synching contacts to iCloud, disable Contact synching on your email accounts. That's first step.

Copy back the missing contacts from your old phone. Make sure in Mail, Contacts, Calendars iCloud is selected as default acct.

THe contacts should not just disappear by themselves. I've never heard/seen that happen.

Same here. Some of my contacts vanished on Nov 1st. I believe there's something wrong with iCloud. Fortunately, I had the good sense to turn off my wifi and export out contacts from my MBP.

Nothing much you can do but wait until Apple fixes the problem I suppose.

all my contacts have disapeared after the actualization.

I've got iPhone 4s.

Very uncommon. In the second day of the actualization all my contacts are gone.

In favourites remained the numbers. But i can't use it.

In the third day, my email accont has been removed too!!

The email I've registered again.

I'm in a job travel and my last backup was made in my imac at home.

So I'm having trouble without my contacts.

Do u know how can I get my contacts back in this situation??

Same thing happened with me today some of my contacts got deleted automatically and i am not even using icloud

54 of my 98 contacts have disappeared also. I just put them in 2 days ago. How frustrating!
