After changing my password on my yahoo email account my iPhone and iPad both will not allow me to get into my account ! Each time it says server unavailable ! I can access my account via the normal pc route no problems .

After changing my password on my yahoo email account my iPhone and iPad both will not allow me to get into my account ! Each time it says server unavailable ! I can access my account via the normal pc route no problems .I have deleted the account and reinstalled it to no avail . Yahoo support say this is an Apple issue ! Any ideas ?

Again, same problem here.


I changed my Yahoo! password via laptop and subsequently both iPhone and iPad are not able to gain access to Yahoo! mail using the Yahoo! client pre-loaded into the mail settings on both devices. I've tried a hard reset of both devices to no avail and get the message 'Server Unavailable' after deleting and attempting to set up the accounta on both devices again.


Any help woud be appreciated, especially as (one would assume) the Apple devices should be able to receive Yahoo! mail simply given the specific Yahoo! option in the mail settings.

the problem comes from your second sign-in verification, go to your setting in your yahoo account then go to Edit your account info, then go to Manage your app password a new page come out, go to the Manage your app passwords box and write " my iphone mail" then press generate password, this will give you a long password this password you gonna use it ones in your iphone and ones in your ipad.

then go to your iphone open setting then go to your emails,contacts, calender. Then press yahoo account and go to your yahoo account information, erase the old password and enter the new long password and done.

Hi,


You can update your Yahoo mail password on your iPad and iPhone by going into the Mail, Contacts, Calender section in the settings and clicking on your mail account under Accounts. Click on your email address on the little screen that pops up. It will open up a page with all your account's info where you can update your password.


I did it and it works.

Try this, it worked.


sign in to you email account on a Mac or PC.


go to mail.


go to the little wheel at the top/right and select 'Account Info'. You may need to verify you password again at this point.


select 'Set up your second sign-in verification".


Follow the promps here. This will generate a one time password for you which you will enter into your iPhone/Ipad.
