Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Where have my filed mails gone since Mavericks?

Since updating to Mavericks, all **** has broken lose and so much has been screwed up all over the place.

But, one of the biggest and most importan is all my various MAILBOXES that I created to save old emails in, have decided to do strange things.

The mails are still in there, but about 80% of them have no content. Just the brief on the left, but when you click it, the email is totally empty, not even a header, a date, nothing. I have vital emails with important information (no suggestions of backing up, please, I did this, Time Machine won't fix it either.).

I have a brand new iMac, 6 months old slim design.

Any ideas?

In the finder menu, select view and in the dropdown menu select Show view options. make sure that you have a finder window open. You can see sizes by selecting Calcuate all sizes near the bottom of the show view options. I usually have this turned off as it does slow your system when you open up a finder window and it calculates the sizes. Again, give it time to do its thing.

Can you send/receive mail?
