windstream email

I use Windstream email and I want to change the email to imap because emails deleted from the server do not delete from my ipad or iphone.

I don't know what Windstream email is (is it an email provider?), but if it's not an IMAP account, you need to contact them to see if they also provide imap. Many email providers that use POP do not provide IMAP.

If the email account IMAP and is incorrectly setup as a POP account.

Try deleting and readding the email account in settings> Mail, Contacts, Calendar. And readd it selecting IMAP, even if it says that the account cannot be verified, setup anyway.
