iPad Air glass break

-anyone else experience any broken glass? I ask because i had the iPad Air for about 31.5 hours, only used it for about 20 minutes other than the Apple representative that set it up fo rme in the stor, and the glass shattered at the thumb / home button area. wonder if thinner = more glass breakage. still have 3 others in household with no damage and two of those belong to my twin 9 years old boys and other to my wife for business needs. This is my first iPad. Genius bar said it will be at least a week for replacement even though they have new ones in store. With my Apple care it will cost about $49. I realize the Genius doesn't know me from the next person, but in a leather case (from wifes ipad 3) but it wasnt hit, banged, dropped. Disappointed.😟

Hi Michael,

Thank you very much for your post. My Ipad air had a single air line crack I never know when and where It was happened I thought It might be a physical damage so I was not planning it to replace since the touch everything was working fine.

After 4 months I just searched for options I found your post decided to try my luck so taken to Apple store and it worked for me after the inspection they agreed for replacement since it was a single air line crack and no physical damage.

I'M NOW SHOCKED AS WELL.

iPad Air 1, screen cracked at start button - Fans Out across the screen.

This is by far the most ridiculous thing ever.

No edge support at hole at Home Button,,so

Repeated Press effort

with case offset hitting edge of hole vs button dead center

had to crack it.

This iPad doesn't leave bedside.
