Ipad air low memory crash

I came to this forum to see if other ipad air owners are experiencing same problem with low memory crashing as I do but seems like I'm one of the few people have this. So far I have 10 low memory crash reports. I also have about 30 more crash reports but it's from various apps. I got my ipad air on the launch day, second in line, here in California. Maybe I just have a defective one, I don't know. If you have same issues, please reply so I can determine if I should return it or just live with it. Closing apps every day is a hassle. I wish Apple just put in extra gig of ram. Overall, I am extremely happy with my ipad. There are so many good this things to mention about this ipad but this is wrong thread to do that.

Hi rbrylawski

I'm one if the contributors that had only been having minimal dramas with ios 7/ipad air/safari

However that page of the 9to5mac (don't believe the hype) still forces safari to close on my ipad air and iphone 5s. It's one of the few problems I've had.

Have you changed any settings at all? I know early in this thread some posters suggested changing a few settings

Cheers

Peter

That site will eventually crash Safari on my 5s. Sometimes right off the bat. Other times it takes scrolling up and down ... FAST. Pinching and zooming that site invariably crashes my Safari.

In the interest of scientific testing, would you be so kind as try pinching, zooming, and fast scrolling. If that doesn't crash Safari, you truly do have a rock solid device.

Thanks

Sorry, but your test proves nothing to me. I've been around computers/hardware/software for the past 30 years. There is no way your iPad Air is any different than anyone else's iPad Air. Intermittent OS/browser crashes can happen at any time. That's why they're called "intermittent". There is not one test you can do that will crash the browser 100% every time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. They're the hardest problems to resolve in software. My Safari was crashing multiple times a day for months, until I decided to minimize the number of open tabs to 2-3, while loading sites that were crashing Safari on another browser (Puffin). I've been crash free now for two weeks....same iPad Air...it didn't just fix itself....it's how I choose to use the browsers I have that stabilizes my iPad, and has kept it crash free for the past two weeks.

It's about balance.

Before I bought my ipad end of December I appreciated ALL useful contributors here. Those stating major problems, those stating no problems and all in between.

This is a COMMUNITY to assist others with information, knowledge, workarounds, solutions etc.

I bought my ipad with a healthy understanding of the risks I was taking by buying it. Just like I would recommend it to others with provisos
