Apple mail does not sync with gMail

I think you are right and what you wrote clear. Now I'm experiencing even a new bug: Mail needs a force quit to be closed. So I cannot shut down my Macbook without first forcing quit Mail.

I fixed it. Somewhere I saw a suggestion to delete my Gmail account from Apple Mail Preferences and then reestablish it. I did, and it has been working for a couple of hours so far.

Where are the Gmail preferences of Mail? It is still working?

1. Open Mail. Click Mail/Preferences/Accounts. Delete your Gmail account and then click Google to set it up as before. Depending on how many emails you have, it can take a few minutes for them all the reload.

2. Yes. I received the email notice of your question right away.

I tried this before but it didn't work for me.I mean I receive emails with delay but I have always the icon of alert (too much connection or incorrect password) and I cannot close Mail program

I always have to force quit.

Sorry I can't help. I'm no expert; I just took a shot in the dark, and it worked.

I spoke too soon. It has relapse to its bad old ways. Repeating the process fixed it once, but now it doesn't. I wonder whose problem this is and whether either Apple or Gmail will have the decency to step up and fix it. If Air Mail had smart mailboxes, I would happily leave Apple Mail foreveer.

No solutions for me. After waiting months that they fix the bugs painfully migrated to Airmail.
Dear Apple I hope You'll going back to make good and stable software.

I spoke to one of the Genius guys at the Apple store, and he told me that Apple has now recognized this issue an emerging problem. Previously when I spoke to them, they wouldn't even acknowledge there was a problem.

Does this mean there could be a fix on the horizon?

Anyone from Apple care to comment? Maybe just a hint that you care about your users?

We have more chance that Apple will buy Airmail.

That article says nothing about Airmail, or Apple trying to buy it.

And all it contains is an unsubstantiated story about Steve Jobs from years ago.

This article is the history of NeXTMail that become the actual Apple Mail that all of us have.

I never said Apple trying to buy Airmail. I said we have more chance (thinking about recent acquisition of Beats) that this will happen.

Anyway it was sarcastic.
