Handbrake for 10.9?

I just got a new MBP Retina and wondering if Handbrake is useable. I keep trying to download, but the site only lists 10.6/10.7/10.8 and no 10.9. However, HandBrake-0.9.9-MacOSX.6_GUI_x86_64 come back with ... "Handbrake" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

Does Handbrake work with 10.9 or is something else needed?

Thanks

I followed the procedure then opened Handbrake. At that point it started up and is normal. I then went back and closed that the 'anywhere' to stay secure. Not sure why opening 'anywhere' made a different for Handbrake to open the first time. But, I defintiely did not want 'anywhere' to be left open. Handbrade had already downloaded, but somehow it didn't want to start until I open that 'anywhere' link.

I hope that this was a one time thing.

Another issue with Handbrake. Seems that some of the DVD are encoded or protected. Though Handbrake copies the images are muddled due to digital format being patchy. I noticed that Handbrake mentioned another download due to a problem with the DVD and Handbrake, but now I cannnot find that message again. Think it was an added code to open the protection of my own DVD's so that Handbrake could copy.

Any ideas? Trying convert to MP.4 so I don't have to carry 14 DVD around when I travel especially since the MBP Retina has no optical drive attached.

Thanks for any help. Think the message was something about LL ....
