I am trying to update to the new Facebook Update, Version: 6.7.1
I have a few updates all come in at once tonight (November 8th at 9pm) However the other 4 apps updated but when I try to update Facebook, it tells me "Unable to Download App. "Facebook" could not be downloaded at this time."
I have shut off anf back on my IPHONE 5. I have signed in and out of my itunes account.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Also having this issue.
Tried deleting and re-installing, but get same error. When deleting and re-installing app downloads from "purchased" as expected and looks like it is installing (indicator moves), but then app requests authentication and app fails to download.
Both hard and soft restarted phone, no effect.

same problem here.
When I try to download new version 6.7.1 I get download error and the installed app icon becomes dark.
I deleted it and reinstalled older version 6.6 from the cloud.
I sent a tweet to facebook with the download error.
Is up to them to fix the problem.

I am having the same issue on my iPhone 4 ios 7.0.3 click to get my fb app update but won't update :( hope this will be fix soon
Even I have this. Probably, issue in Facebook side.(Unable to fetch Artwork) And yes. they released two updates in short interval. Hope they have messed something.

Temporary fix for the Facebook iPhone/iPad app Update 6.7.1 not downloading and installing correctly - until Facebook gets its act together to correct the problem. Open your Facebook account in SAFARI by going to www.facebook.com !

People I have (possibly) solved your problems!
1. Delete the non-downloading app, in this case, Facebook
2. Download it from the App Store again
Should work. That's all I did and I got the app back :)

Same issue. I deleted my working version of facebook appas i was unable to update. Now unable to download the app 6.7.1 on iPhone 5. Nor cant download on iTunes. tried almost everything. now waiting for some fix.
I'm having the same problem. I saw an update this morning (I live in timezone GMT +5) and I tried updating the Facebook app and failed. I tried deleting it as well. Any solutions?

Looks like it's a problem from Facebook's side.
Same issue here. Tried downloading from itunes instead, but same problem.
It says "There was a problem downloading the artwork for "Facebook"
Is it just because they have a corrupted artwork in the app? jeez.
To solve the issue you can do this :
- delete the dark Facebook icon from your device.
- run App Store and search for the app you have bought, scroll the list and you can download Facebook from the cloud.
I downloaded again ver 6.6
- do not attempt any update to 6.7.1 till Facebook will not solve the problem otherway the download will be corrupted again and you will get a dark icon and a not working app.

Same issue here as well. I'm tired of it now. Its just irritating. Is there a fix for this??
Having the same problem. It won't update on my iPhone. Also tried to update the app on my iPad, but still no go. Somewhat relieved to know that it's not an issue with my iPhone and iPad.
