Preview won't capture signature

I'm not sure I can explain your problem. I had no trouble getting Preview to recognize the dummy signature I tried.

Is your signature "well formed" in the sense that all its characters are lined up?

(Grasping at straws here.) Did you try moving the paper closer to and further away from the camera?

The trick is the "preview" is just that... a preview. When it appears, click accept while still holding the paper in position. The image is then captured.

I am having the same problem as OP 😟

Seems you need really strong light on the signature to make it work. I used my flashlight on my iphone to light the signature and finally it worked.

Quitting preview and starting over worked for me as well. Thanks for your help

I was having the exact same problem. I shone a VERY bright torch onto the signature and then it was captured.

Oh my dear friends, the blue line should CUT ACROSS your signature 🙂 unless it cuts, it wont record it. Try again like this.

CORRECT SIGNATURE

It seems to also help to make your signture in camera touch the 'blue' line....

Turn up the brightness to max and try again. It worked for me.
