I just bought an iPad Mini case for my iPad Mini with Retina Display, and it DOES NOT FIT... This particular case has a hard plastic cradle for the iPad to fit into and it does not wrap around the edges enough to hold it in... I am shocked at how snug these cases will fit, even though there is only a 0.01" difference in thickness... So again, I repeat, an iPad Mini with Retina Display WILL NOT FIT into the first gen iPad Mini case!

Nope - I've purchased 2 cases for my new iPad mini with retina display and because of it's slightly thicker design (0.3mm thicker than the iPad mini 1) it WILL NOT fit.

Bit angry about it really as people are stating online that their cases fit the "iPad mini 1 AND iPad mini 2" - I think companies need to do research before advertising that it will fit .😠

Agree. I bought a Bodyguardz case for the iPad minke retina, the .3 mm difference is critical. It does not fit. After I bought it I returned it and Bodyguardz tells me they are coming out with the proper case in the future. Their online ad does not Indictate there is a difference which still encourages people to buy the wrong case.

IT should. there's .3 millimeters difference in size.
