Sleep/wake crash OSX Mavericks, Macbook Air 2013

My MBP Mid2012 still crashes almost at every sleep even after 10.9.2 update.

I close the lid, when I come to work/home it 1) already crashed during a 'sleep' 2) chashes during a wake-up process. I have to swith it off two times a day! Very disappointed.

Did you experience any of the sleep issues you mentioned prior to Mavericks i.e. When you was running Mountain lion?

No, it was a great time on Lion. All issues started when Mavericks was installed.

Let me add more information. I can see that the posility of a crash depends on how many applications were open (how much memory should be restored). When I swith everything off and log off from my Dropbox, etc. the chance to have a crash is lower, but it still happened. But come on, there is no sense to have a sleep if you already quit all applications, right?

I hear that, I mean like I said I've never installed any antivirus software ever, I've tested the hibernation crash problem to see if it still occurs with all apps fully quit and it does so on that note I beleive it's not to do with apps being open.

It's quite a rare issue, in my opinion if it was due to mavericks then this thread would have been a thousand pages long within the space of week.

I know loads of people using mavericks and using the same apps as me plus a whole bunch more who have never once had the hibernation crash.

That's why my opinion is that the 'sleep failure' code in seeing in Console post-crash is hardware related. That's just my opinion from what I've heard from others who have the exact same issue and how it has been solved (I.E with replacement hardware).

Personally I hope in completely wrong and 10.9.2 has fixed this as it would save me the hassle of asking this up with AppleCare.

Maverickx 10.9.2 update has not fixed the problem of the sleeping delay on my MacPro 6core 3.33 Ghz with Caldigit USB3.0 eSata card, ATI Radeon 5870 and OWC Mercury Extreme SSD.

I guess somehow the 10.9.2 fixed this problem on my Macbook Air 2013. It slept just now and I pressed the Return button right after 1 second. It woke up! hope it's really fixed 🙂

10.9,2 fixed exactly same problem on my MBA 2013!!

Update did not fix issue for me. Have had SSD and logic board replaced, and applied 10.9.2 update. This morning, after being closed for a bit, opened it up to a restart screen. Error message said sleep/ wake failure. Any other ideas out there? I am sick of going to genius bar.

As has been said often in this forum, Apple does not monitor this forum regularly so we all need to provide feedback to them directly.

I was pretty hyped when I clicked that feedback link you kindly provided just now, however then I read "please note that we cannot respond to the comments you submit" and without a response I would generally lean towards the notion that they don't get read either haha maybe I'm wrong though 😁

6 days no crash since removing my AV-Program :)))

Opened it from sleep today and had a few programs open in the background. Still going strong.
