For some reason I can't get my messages on my iPad , it's made me change my Apple ID password but when I try to sign in it keeps giving me an error and now I can't do anything with messages. Help

For some reason my iPad won't receive any of messages sent to me I had to change my Apple ID password and it ask me to sign in to iMessages but when I do this I get an error and can't sign in. Help please

iPad (4th gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular, iOS 7.0.3, I get messages on my iPhone & iPod

Same problem. The message I get when I try to activate iMessage is 'iMessage Activation - An error occurred during activation. Try agin.' When I do, I get the same message. I'm using the latest version of iOS 7.
